About the Author

Born in 1974 in Toms River, New Jersey, Ryan Foley's obsession with comic books began during his childhood with trips to the grocery store with his mother where he was first introduced to characters such as Spider-Man and Batman. In 2004, Ryan achieved a lifelong goal when his first comic book was published. When not writing comics, Ryan enjoys all kinds of movies, especially fantasy and sci-fi films such as Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings.

Reviews

"The Perseus story is part myth, part faerie tale, part ancient superhero adventure, and part Sword & part Sorcery yarn. Naresh Kumar manages to juggle all of these elements through his imagry, blending several distinct styles in different combinations throughout the book. The effect is shamanic and otherworldly. . . This tome is an excellent addition to your home library and it won't get dusty as you'll be revisiting it often." -- Hercules Invictus, Voice of Olympus Book Reviews "I highly recommend Campfire's comics. They do what they are intended to do and do it in a way that excites kids about classic literature." -- Chris Wilson, The Graphic Classroom (a resource for teachers and librarians) "A popular story theme in Greek myths is someone trying to forge their own destiny (and failing horribly! Can you say Oedipus?) or trying to discover what their destiny is. Perseus is both sides of this theme - Perseus is out to find his destiny while others try to stop the young hero to thwart their own horrible destinies. The hero is sent on an impossible quest that seems more like a suicide mission, and it is brains, not brawn, that wins the day. I rate Perseus a 9.5 (out of 10)." -- John Tompkins, Children's Librarian/Graphic Novel Specialist
